Mem Gutierres Bridge

The Mem Gutierres Bridge is a medieval bridge built on the river Ave, in the parish of Esperança, in the municipality of Póvoa de Lanhoso. It is characterized by having an easel profile resting on a broken arch.

The date of its construction is not exactly known, but it is believed that it was between the end of the 14th century and the beginning of the 15th century. Also it is known as Domingos Terno Bridge in honor of the possible responsible for its creation, and Esperança Bridge.

It was classified as a national monument in 1910.


Casa de São Vicente de Cima is inserted in the Quinta de São Vicente. It is a typical Minho house, with private pool, situated in the Geraz do Minho valley, in the district of Póvoa de Lanhoso, Braga district, ideally located to visit the Peneda Gerês National Park, Braga, Guimarães and many other places of interest.
